Front Sight Blank, .125" Wide, .300" High, .330" x .075" x 65º dovetail
This standard blank front sight comes with a large, smooth, square blade that is .300" tall x .125" wide so that it can be modified to the shooters preference and requirements. Unlike Kensight item# 870-914 that comes unfinished or "in-the-white", this sight has a black oxide finish so that only some touch-up's are necessary after the blade has been cut.
The flat base blends in nicely with most square top slide profiles, resulting in a clean looking installation that may require la small amount of filing to accomplish. Flat base front are also found to be easier to install when tapping, as there is an edge on each side for your brass to strike. This sight is made to fit the common Novak type front sight cuts (.330" wide x .073" deep x 65°) as typically found on both customized and factory 1911 pistols.
